Explore the Southern Highlands

Exeter Village
Exeter is a little piece of England hiding in the Australian bush. Home to beautiful English style gardens, weatherboard cottages and modern homes. The hub is the General Store. You can browse or shop at Quintessential Exeter and The Village Pump Antiques.

Wine Escape
The Southern Highlands is home to over 12 wineries which offer excellent wines. Our favourites are St Maur, Artemis, Mt Ashby, Tertini and the beautiful cafe at Bendooley Estate. Moss Vale’s Wine Mosaic Lounge serves good wine and Southern Highlands Brewing Taphouse is a must.

Markets
There’s a market with fresh produce and locally made goods somewhere every weekend. Exeter Village Market is on the first Saturday of each month in Exeter Park. Others are Bowral, Bundanoon and Mittagong. The choice is yours to browse and enjoy.

Outdoors
If you’re feeling energetic, there’s activities for everyone from a stroll along the Berrima River Walk to mountain biking in Penrose Forest. There’s family-friendly walking and bike trails, horse riding, golf, bushwalking and more. Visit Destination Southern Highlands.

Family Friendly
No matter the age of your children, there’s something for them to do – from the Illawarra Fly or Bundanoon Skate Park for the adventurous to the Bradman Museum, Moss Vale Aquatic Centre, parks and playgrounds.

Dining
The Highlands is bursting with excellent restaurants from the award-winning Eschalot to Bernie’s Diner. Our favourites are Birch Restaurant in Moss Vale, Josh’s in Berrima and Eccetera Trattoria in Bowral. There are many others to suit your tastebuds and budget.
